HVRHS is committed to developing the academic and personal growth of all our students and take pride in our teachers and administrators who work tirelessly to help each student realize their potential.  Collectively, our students, staff, faculty, and historic building make us “the jewel of the Northwest Hills.”

HVRHS offers numerous programs to help students succeed, a few samples are:

  • Our Freshman Seminar program facilitates the transition to ninth grade
  • The Student Assistance Team (StAT) identifies students in need of academic, social, or behavioral support.
  • Our Advisory Program enhances the connections between students and teachers.
  • Housatonic boasts one of the best student-to-teacher ratios in the state

Our broad range of course offerings are supplemented by online courses, helps our students to regularly enter the finest colleges and universities in the country. We strive to help all our graduates identify a successful transition plan post HVRHS.
