GIRLS LACROSSE: The play-in game vs. Lewis Mills is confirmed at Lewis Mills H.S. today vs. Lewis Mills. Bus time is at 3:00 p.m.

ENVIROTHON:
Congratulations to the Envirothon team of Emma Okell, Becket Harney, Brian Saccardi, Matt
Matsudaria, and Jordan Long for their first place yesterday at Winding Trails in Farmington.  The team competed along with 40 other public and private schools from throughout the state. They will represent Connecticut at the North American competition this summer.

Also, congratulations to the Envirothon team of Cristian Umana, Patricia McGuire, Nate
Brooks, Christian Allyn and Patrick Purdy for their 3rd place finish.

SENIOR WEEK:
Tuesday, May 29th: Senior Breakfast in the Cafeteria @ 7:50 a.m.
Wednesday, May 30th: Lunch on the oval. During lunch block
Thursday, May 31st: Seniors vs. Faculty Softball game after school on field.
Friday, June 1st: Senior picnic at the Grove 11:00 am – 2:00 pm

artgarage artists:
Please come collect your art from the artgarage. This is the last week of artgarage. Today, the artgarage is hosting ‘group effort” a show of collaborative art. Come see our show “group effort”. The Artgarage invites you to join us on Tuesday the 29th for our show Group Effort. Group Effort is a collection of works that are created in collaboration. The show consists of different art pieces created in the artgarage as group projects. The point of the show is to show off the creative process that occurs when students work together on Art projects. Some of the pieces are uses of certain mediums and some are a mixture of many mediums.

BL CHAMPIONSHIPS:
Last Saturday at the BL Championships Track & Field meet Michael Tabor took first in discus, Anna Geyselears finished second in the 200 M, Katie Heacox took first in the shot put and Abrah Toomey second in javelin. On Wednesday at the finish of the BL Festival Peter Greco set a new BL record taking first place in the hammer. Jason Hedman took second in the hammer. Katie Heacox took first place in the hammer and Anna Geyselears took first in the heptalon. Janelle Leslie set a new record for the women’s 2000 M steeple chase, making them all Berkshire Champions.

ATHLETEIC CAMPS:
Housatonic Valley Regional High School will host Blue and Gold Athletic Camps from July 2nd to July 18th. The Boys’ and Girls’ Basketball Camp, under the direction of Coach Frank Hadsell, will be from July 2nd to July 6th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The Football Camp, under the direction of Coach Deron Bayer, will be from July 9th to July 13th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The wrestling camp, which will be under the direction of Coach Tom Medonis, will be three days from July 16th-18th from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The cost of each camper for basketball and football is $100 and $50 for each additional family member. KENT STUDENTS COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS:
The Kent Singers group is looking for help in connection with a concert they are putting on with the Sherman Chamber Ensemble in the chapel at the Kent School campus on the weekend of June 9-10. LIFEGUARDS WANTED:
The North Canaan Recreation Commission is looking for responsible, reliable lifeguards to work at the outdoor, town pool for the 2012 summer.  You must have current lifeguard, first aid, and CPR certifications.  Responsibilities include but not limited to maintaining safe and clean environment, maintaining alertness throughout shift, enforce and follow pool rules, and provide a positive environment for guests.  Hours may vary.  You must be able to evenings and weekends.  Applicants should email resume and cover letter with references to Adam Bunce, North Canaan Recreation Director, abuncencrecdir@hotmail.com.
