ATHLETEIC CAMPS:
Housatonic Valley Regional High School will host Blue and Gold Athletic Camps from July 2nd to July 18th. The Boys’ and Girls’ Basketball Camp, under the direction of Coach Frank Hadsell, will be from July 2nd to July 6th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The Football Camp, under the direction of Coach Deron Bayer, will be from July 9th to July 13th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The wrestling camp, which will be under the direction of Coach Tom Medonis, will be three days from July 16th-18th from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The cost of each camper for basketball and football is $100 and $50 for each additional family member. Boys Tennis:
Match that was postponed on Wednesday will be played on Tuesday, May 15th.

Girls Tennis:
Match that was postponed on Wednesday will be played on Tuesday, May 22nd. Please remember that today’s match vs. Nonnewaug is away.

JUNIOR PROM:
The junior prom will be held on Saturday, May 19th at Crystal Peak in Winsted from 6:00 pm to 10:30 pm. The theme is Classic Hollywood. Tickets are $65.00 each and will be sold by the junior class Monday, May 1 – Friday, May 11. Checks can be made out to HVRHS. You can purchase tickets during lunch blocks or see Mr. Krupa in the music room. The last chance to buy tickets will be this Friday at 12:30 pm – no exceptions! Also guest forms MUST be turned in by this Friday also. Guest forms are available at the APO. Any student interested in helping with decorations, please see Mrs. Krupa in the library.

FFA PLANT SALE:
The FFA is selling their beautiful plants again in time for Spring and Mother’s Day!
Pick up your plants on Wednesday-Friday, (May 9-11).
Hanging baskets $15.00: Ivy Geraniums-assorted colors, New Guinea Impatiens, Fuchsias, Verbena, Petunias and Mixed. Zonal Geraniums: large pots- $8.00 and small pots $5.00.

SPIRIT SQUAD:
The Spirit Squad is announcing sign-ups for the first annual Powder Puff Football game. The event will be held Friday, May 25th after school. Junior and seniors girls are eligible and final roster will be determined by lottery. Player must agree to after school practices with their coaches and pay an entry fee of $15.00 which includes a t-shirt. Sign-ups will be outside Mr. Carroll’s office.

LIFEGUARDS WANTED:
The North Canaan Recreation Commission is looking for responsible, reliable lifeguards to work at the outdoor, town pool for the 2012 summer.  You must have current lifeguard, first aid, and CPR certifications.  Responsibilities include but not limited to maintaining safe and clean environment, maintaining alertness throughout shift, enforce and follow pool rules, and provide a positive environment for guests.  Hours may vary.  You must be able to evenings and weekends.  Applicants should email resume and cover letter with references to Adam Bunce, North Canaan Recreation Director, abuncencrecdir@hotmail.com.

NORTH CANAAN SUMMER JOBS:
Applications are now available for the North Canaan Summer Jobs Program. You may pick one up in the High School main office. Students interested in working this summer must be residents of North Canaan and be 14 years old by July 1, 2012 and not older than 16 by August 1.

SALISBURY SUMMER JOBS:
Applications are now available for the Salisbury Summer Jobs Program. You may pick one up in the High School main office. Students interested in working this summer must be residents of Salisbury and be 14 years old by July 1, 2012 and not older than 16 by August 1.

GOLF: Will practice at Hotchkiss today (Thursday) after school with both Varsity and JV. On Friday both JV and Varsity will be playing in a scramble with the Hotchkiss teams. Dress like golfers both days ( collared shirt and no jeans).

SOFTBALL:
