THE LATE BUS IS AT 5:30 PM.

ATHLETICS FOR TODAY: ALL SCHEDULED GAMES & PRACTICES ARE STILL ON FOR TODAY AS OF 1:00 PM.

HOUSATONIC MUSICAL THEATRE SOCIETY:   
Permission slip for anyone who is either going to the rehearsal at the Waterbury Palace on Thursday or to the Halo Awards on May 30 need to be filled out separately for each trip and brought to the APO as soon as possible – you will not be allowed to go on the bus if your permission slip has not been received! You can get a permission slip at the Main Office.

BASKETBALL:
There will be a mandatory meeting for the Boys Basketball team in room 133 on May 24th at 2:30 pm. Any questions please see Mr. Carroll.

ATHLETEIC CAMPS:
Housatonic Valley Regional High School will host Blue and Gold Athletic Camps from July 2nd to July 18th. The Boys’ and Girls’ Basketball Camp, under the direction of Coach Frank Hadsell, will be from July 2nd to July 6th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The Football Camp, under the direction of Coach Deron Bayer, will be from July 9th to July 13th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The wrestling camp, which will be under the direction of Coach Tom Medonis, will be three days from July 16th-18th from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The cost of each camper for basketball and football is $100 and $50 for each additional family member. KENT STUDENTS COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS:
The Kent Singers group is looking for help in connection with a concert they are putting on with the Sherman Chamber Ensemble in the chapel at the Kent School campus on the weekend of June 9-10. JUNIOR PROM:
The junior prom will be held on Saturday, May 19th at Crystal Peak in Winsted from 6:00 pm to 10:30 pm. The theme is Classic Hollywood. Any student interested in helping with decorations, please see Mrs. Krupa in the library.

SPIRIT SQUAD:
The Spirit Squad is announcing sign-ups for the first annual Powder Puff Football game. The event will be held Friday, May 25th after school. Junior and seniors girls are eligible and final roster will be determined by lottery. Player must agree to after school practices with their coaches and pay an entry fee of $15.00 which includes a t-shirt. Sign-ups will be outside Mr. Carroll’s office.

LIFEGUARDS WANTED:
The North Canaan Recreation Commission is looking for responsible, reliable lifeguards to work at the outdoor, town pool for the 2012 summer.  You must have current lifeguard, first aid, and CPR certifications.  Responsibilities include but not limited to maintaining safe and clean environment, maintaining alertness throughout shift, enforce and follow pool rules, and provide a positive environment for guests.  Hours may vary.  You must be able to evenings and weekends.  Applicants should email resume and cover letter with references to Adam Bunce, North Canaan Recreation Director, abuncencrecdir@hotmail.com.

NORTH CANAAN SUMMER JOBS:
Applications are now available for the North Canaan Summer Jobs Program. You may pick one up in the High School main office. Students interested in working this summer must be residents of North Canaan and be 14 years old by July 1, 2012 and not older than 16 by August 1. – The Deadline for the applications has been extended until Friday, May 18th.

SALISBURY SUMMER JOBS:
Applications are now available for the Salisbury Summer Jobs Program. You may pick one up in the High School main office. Students interested in working this summer must be residents of Salisbury and be 14 years old by July 1, 2012 and not older than 16 by August 1.

GIRLS TENNIS:
The following change(s) have been accepted and made to the Housatonic Regional vs. Shepaug Valley Varsity Girls Tennis game: Game Date: changed from 05/14/12 to 05/16/12, Game Time: 3:45 p.m. (No change), Home Team: Housatonic Regional (No change) Facility: High School Courts (No change).
Match that was postponed last Wednesday, May 9th will be played on Tuesday, May 22nd.
