Today is a Blue Wednesday schedule: blocks are C, B, D, G, F & H.
The Late Bus will be at 4:00 pm due to the early dismissal.
Wednesday – Early dismissal at 12:20 pm, No school Thursday, Friday & Monday.

The Girls Soccer Team will leave today at 2:00 pm for away games vs. Nonnewaug. Games start at 3:45 pm.
On Thursday, the Boys Soccer Teams will play at home vs. Nonnewaug at 3:45 pm.
On Thursday the Volleyball Teams will leave at 2:35 pm for their matches vs. Northwestern. JV will start at 4:00 pm and Varsity will start at 5:15 pm. On Friday, the Girls Volleyball Teams will play Amistad at home. JV will start at 4:30 pm and Varsity will start at 5:45 pm.
On Friday the Football Team will play Stafford/East Windsor at home under the lights. Kick off is at 6:30 pm.

An Audition Workshop, given by Michael Berkeley and Betsy Howie on Friday, October 18 from 2:30-5:15 pm. Free to any student.
AUDITIONS FOR THIS YEAR’S HVRHS MUSICAL:
The Auditions for “Hello Dolly” will be Friday, October 25 from 2:30-5:15 pm and Thursday, October 31 from 2:30-5:15 pm. Call backs will be Friday, November 1 from 2:30-5:15 pm. A sign-up sheet for all three events will be posted in the high school main office and a copy of the script available in the Library for anyone who would like to read it.
This year’s Housatonic Musical Theatre Society’s 11 Annual Kitchen Tour will be Saturday, November 2 from 10 am to 4 pm. Advance Tickets are $35.00 – available online at HMTS.ORG or at the following stores: Kent Pharmacy, Salisbury Pharmacy or Sharon Pharmacy. Day-of tickets are $40.00.

NCCC Partnership Program:
As part of our Partnership Program with NCCC, Juniors and Seniors can get a jump start on their college education by taking FREE college courses while in high school. With the partnership program, students with a B or better average can take two college courses and earn up to 8 college credits per semester at Northwestern Connecticut Community College. These credits can be used towards your degree at NCCC or be transferred to a number of four year institutions, saving you hundreds of dollars in tuition costs. Interested students should see Ms. McLeod or your guidance counselor for more information. Registration deadline for the spring semester is November 15.

Any sophomore who is interested in taking the PSAT, which will be administered in the cafeteria on Wednesday, October 16, should sign up in Guidance as soon as possible. Space is limited and registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. The test fee is $14.
The 2013 yearbooks are in; if you ordered a copy you can pick it up at the high school main office. There is a limited number of extras books if you did not purchase one you can still do so for $65.00.
